155 Extra Space Storage Units Burglarized

“Our Dallas storage facilities are the cleanest and securest around”, say Extra Space Storage on their website. Clean they may be but secure they are not. Dallas police are investigating a series of thefts at the Extra Space Storage facility located on Ft. Worth Avenue, where 155 units were robbed on four separate days during a two week period in November. According to Dallas police Extra Space’s alarm system was not working at the time of the robberies. So much for the security, however there is some good news, the suspects were caught on surveillance video committing the crimes.

Above left is a partial screenshot from the surveillance video edited by Dallas Police Department and they are asking for the public’s assistance to help identify three suspects. If anyone knows the identity of any of the suspects please contact Detective Ellis at The Dallas Police Department Property Crimes Unit at 214-670-7471.

The fact that the men were able to rob the business multiple times without getting caught because the storage facility’s alarm system wasn’t working should be a major concern for anyone using Extra Space Storage facilities.
